Frequently asked questions
Getting started
How does the screen get into the building?
We deliver the device pre-assembled. You mount it in the stairwell and plug it into power; it brings its own internet over a built-in cellular modem.
Does the device need internet in the building?
No. The screen connects over its own cellular modem, so no connection in the building is needed.
How do I keep the content current?
Through a portal in your browser. You change notices, house rules and dates, and the change appears on the screen seconds later.
What content and formats can I create?
A notice is text in Markdown or HTML, with headings, text and embedded images. You can add attachments to it, such as the house rules as a PDF, shown below as a tap-to-open link. On their own you can also use a single image, a multi-page PDF where the pages flip, or a short video.
In operation
What happens after a power cut?
As soon as power is back, the device starts on its own and keeps playing, with no one having to come by.
Can I manage several properties?
Yes. All buildings run in one portal, each with its own content.
What does the screen show before I set anything up?
A neutral start view with the building name, until you create the first notice.
Privacy
Is there a camera?
No. Presence is counted anonymously by a sensor, with no camera at all.
Is resident data stored?
No. Nobody signs in, and the count only records anonymously whether someone passes by and whether a tap happened. That is revDSG-compliant, with no personal reference.
Where is the data held?
On servers in Switzerland.
Contract and price
What does Quartiero cost?
The price depends on the number of screens and the model you choose, purchase or all-round package. We put together a concrete offer on request.
Is there a minimum term?
No, there is no fixed lock-in. You can cancel to the end of any month, with one month's notice.
